#ITU Broadband Connectivity Map (BBMaps)

> The ITU Broadband Maps (BBMaps) is an interactive web application by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) that visualizes global ICT infrastructure including terrestrial fiber optic and microwave networks, submarine cables, mobile coverage, internet exchange points, datacenters, satellite earth stations, school connectivity, and broadband development indicators.

- Terrestrial fiber optic links: operational, under construction, planned
- Microwave links: operational, under construction, planned

### Submarine Cables
- Submarine cable routes (operational and planned)

- Ookla Speedtest data (fixed and mobile), 1Q/2025
- Metrics: average download/upload speed (kbps), average latency (ms), total tests, total devices
